Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for using LookerVPN responsibly and legally
Last updated: January 16, 2026
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of LookerVPN's VPN services. While we respect your privacy and do not monitor your traffic, we require all users to use our services responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.
This AUP is part of our Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your use of LookerVPN. While we do not log your activity, you remain responsible for ensuring your actions comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
3. Permitted Uses
What You CAN Do
- Protect your privacy while browsing the internet
- Secure your connection on public Wi-Fi networks
- Access content while traveling abroad
- Prevent ISP tracking and data collection
- Protect sensitive communications
- Research and journalism requiring anonymity
- Any lawful activity that benefits from enhanced privacy
4. Prohibited Uses
What You CANNOT Do
You may NOT use LookerVPN to:
- Violate laws - Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction or ours
- Operate a competing service - Run a VPN service or similar business where VPN is a significant component
- Send spam - Transmit unsolicited bulk email or messages
- Distribute malware - Spread viruses, worms, trojans, or other malicious software
- Attack infrastructure - Conduct DDoS attacks, network intrusions, or port scanning
- Exploit or abuse minors - Any activity involving child exploitation material (CSAM)
- Harass or threaten - Engage in harassment, stalking, or making threats
- Commit fraud - Engage in fraudulent activities or identity theft
- Infringe copyrights at scale - Operate piracy sites or distribution networks
- Attack our network - Attempt to exploit, overload, or damage our infrastructure
5. Network Restrictions
To prevent abuse and maintain service quality, we implement the following technical restrictions:
| Restriction | Reason |
|---|---|
| TCP port 25 blocked | Prevents spam email transmission |
| Ports 137-139, 445 blocked | Prevents NetBIOS/SMB security exploits |
| 5 device maximum | Fair use across the network |
6. How We Handle Abuse Reports
Despite our no-logs policy, we may receive abuse complaints from third parties (such as IP address owners or network administrators). Here's how we handle them:
- We cannot identify users. Because we don't log connection data, we cannot determine which account was using a specific IP address at a specific time.
- We take complaints seriously. Repeated abuse from our IP ranges may result in temporary IP address rotation or, in severe cases, blocking of specific traffic patterns.
- We may block traffic types. If specific types of malicious traffic (e.g., botnet communications) are detected, we may null-route that traffic across our network.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used for prohibited activities. However, because we cannot identify specific users behind activities, termination is rare and typically only occurs when:
- A user admits to prohibited activity
- We receive a valid legal order
- Technical evidence of account-level abuse exists (e.g., attacking our infrastructure)
In cases of termination for abuse, no refund will be provided.
8. Legal Compliance
LookerVPN is incorporated in Colorado, USA. We comply with valid legal requests from law enforcement. However, our no-logs policy means we have minimal data to provide:
- We can confirm whether an account number exists
- We can provide account status and time balance
- We can provide payment records (no personal data for crypto)
- We cannot provide browsing history, connection logs, or IP assignments
For more information, see the Law Enforcement section of our Terms of Service.
9. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of any misuse of our Services, please report it to support@lookervpn.com. Please include as much detail as possible, including timestamps and any relevant evidence.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our website at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
